classwork

Here's some stuff I've been working on in class. We had to focus on urban landscape and take pics around the city. This is what I came up with. :)

This was a cool project. We had to scan two images in and blur them. I chose a flower and my favorite blue sunglasses that broke :(

black swamp

This past sunday I went to the "Black Swamp Art Fest" in Bowling Green with a couple of my friends. We walked around and checked out some art, and made some arts and crafts. (Cause we're nerds like that.) We made a couple of tie dye t-shirts (which let's be honest I was MOST excited about), and we got our hands painted. It was pretty much amazing. I snapped a couple pics along the way, of course. One of my favorite artists there was Chuck Wimmers. He does this group of digital art that I really want. you can check out his website at loftprints.com It's always great to be around that much creativity buzzing all around you.

Then to top the whole day off we ate some DELISH pizza at Pisanello's Pizza.

Overall it was a really good day, and I'm glad I went. Maybe I'll volunteer next year?
P.s. There are a couple pics on my flickr account to check out
:)

free fallin

I'm basically a huge computer nerd and I love clicking around on a bunch of sites and finding fun things to look at. While clicking away at people's flickr.com accounts I found this blog that had a series of "portraits within a portrait"  and i loved it. It was cool to read on that each had a back story in a way. He commented that this girl thought her Polaroid looked like "the ring" (which it totally does, totally creepy.) But I think this pic can be interpreted in many different ways...  (maybe she's just shy? haha).

If you want to check out more of his stuff the photographer is Jon Madison. Just head on down to jonmadison.com. It's pretty sweet.

getting started

This is one of my favorite pictures I've taken. It's of my sister when we were on vacation in North Carolina about two years ago now. I love love love going to North Carolina. I swear I'll live there some day. I'm excited about keeping this blog and being able to post some pics and share some thoughts. :D
